⭐️ Great Taste 2025 — Simply Delicious Award

An innovative creation from the founder of Stony Groves. Authentic PGI Kampot peppercorns are smoked with oak using a proprietary process — the result is a pepper of extraordinary depth: intensely smoky on the nose, with a warm, complex, fruity heat that lingers long on the palate.

What the Great Taste Judges Said

"Dark matt black little rounds, these have a deep and appealing smoky aroma. Heady smoky notes continue on the palate with a generous warmth – sophisticated without a hard hit. The smokiness complements the fruity peppery tones, adding complexity. This is a well crafted product that lingers in a delicious way."

"With an incredible smoky aroma (think log fires), these are intense and warming. The smoke complements the overall peppercorns."

"The peppercorns have a deep, hot citrus flavour that lasted well. This would be delicious ground onto smoked salmon."

How to Use Oak-Smoked Kampot Pepper

Its smoky umami depth transforms everything it touches:

  • Steak — ground over just before serving
  • Grilled and roasted vegetables
  • Fresh and smoked fish — especially salmon baked with butter and brown sugar
  • Eggs — scrambled, fried, or in a frittata
  • Charcuterie and cheese boards

About Kampot Pepper

Kampot Pepper has been cultivated in the azure hills of southern Cambodia for centuries — first documented by Chinese explorer Tchéou Ta Kouan in the 13th century. Production nearly ceased under the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s, but has since been revived and granted Protected Geographical Indicator (PGI) status — making it the champagne of the pepper world. In chef circles, it is regarded as the finest pepper on earth.
