Avocado on Toast with Fragrant Long Pepper
In the past few years, my body has started rejecting nearly all typical allergens. This has created both major frustration and physical illness. These days, my diet is very limited. But this has presented me with huge opportunities to adapt my diet and discover new foods.
This meal is my standard daily breakfast. I used to be a milk and cereal guy, but these days it's all about avocado on toast and what I call "steroids."
- 1 avocado (room temperature)
- 1 large piece of bread (preferably sourdough)
- Stony Groves Fragrant Long Pepper
- Coarse Himalayan salt
- 1 lemon
- Extra virgin olive oil
Prep avocado, wash and dry cress and rocket, crush Stony Groves Fragrant Long Pepper, toast sourdough.
Cool and butter the toast generously, then place the avocado on the toast. Now for the steroids. Sprinkle rocket, salt, Stony Groves Fragrant Long Pepper, a squeeze of lemon, a splash of olive oil, and you're done.
Seriously easy and seriously delicious. Stony Groves Fragrant Long Pepper gives the dish floral and spiced tones, while the salt brings out the nuttyness out of the avocado.
